The hitting strip that protects your joints and teaches true ball-first contact
The hitting mat is the most important part of your home practice.
You can own a TrackMan, a premium net and the perfect at-home setup—but if you're hitting off a mat that doesn't behave like real turf, every practice session is built on the wrong foundation.
That's why we didn't just make the mat softer. We engineered the 3D FlexCell system.
Catch a shot slightly heavy, and the surface compresses on impact — absorbing shock and taking the stress off your wrists and elbows. At the same time, it stays firm enough to preserve realistic turf interaction and honest feedback through the strike.
The goal isn't to make every shot feel good. It's to make the right shots feel right—and the bad ones feel like they would on the golf course.
Less stress on your joints. More confidence that your practice transfers to the course.
Premium Nylon Turf: Realistic turf fibers designed to replicate true fairway interaction and provide consistent strike feedback.
FlexCell™ 3D Impact Layer: Absorbs impact and reduce harsh vibration for a more natural feel through impact.
High-Density NBR Base: Durable non-slip foundation that provides stability and support during practice sessions.

No wrist or joint pain
Cheap golf mats are one of the most common causes of wrist and elbow pain during practice. When the club hits a hard surface, the impact travels straight back into your joints. Our hitting strip is built differently.
Beneath the turf sits a 3D shock-absorption layer that compresses on impact, allowing the club to move through the surface instead of abruptly stopping.
This absorbs the harsh shock that normally stresses your wrists and elbows, so you can hit hundreds of balls while getting realistic turf interaction — without the joint pain.
Practice that actually transfers to the course
The way the club interacts with the ground is a huge part of ball striking. When the turf reacts naturally to your swing, clean strikes feel pure and mistakes are easy to recognize. This kind of feedback is what helps golfers improve their contact and consistency.
Our hitting strip is designed to allow the club to move through the turf more naturally, giving you the kind of feedback you would expect from real fairway grass. When you practice with realistic turf interaction, the swing you build at home is the same swing you take to the course.
Easy to add to your practice setup
If you enjoy a bit of DIY, the hitting strip is easy to integrate into your setup. You can cut a hole into your existing mat and drop the strip in, or simply place it at the edge of your mat or practice area and build your setup around it.
If you’d rather skip the DIY altogether, you can choose the complete setup with our EVA base mat, which already includes a perfectly sized insert for the hitting strip.
Either way, it’s a simple way to upgrade the part of your practice setup that actually affects your swing.

As a former A8 (PGA member assistant pro). I can attest to the quality and realism of this insert. I had GoSportsPro. This solves the unrealistic feedback issue. If you hit behind it, the mat gives you realistic tug. Fantastic system. I have the 3 hitting inserts and plan to get the sand!!!

The Swingwerks hitting strip has brought my old mat back to life and saved me from having to replace the entire mat. The strip is of high quality and much better than my original mat, even when it was new. I would often get pain in my shoulders after using my old mat but I haven't experienced that after installing the strip. One sign of its absorption is when I drop a ball on it from hip height it only bounces about a 1/2 inch where the ball will bounce several inches on the old mat. I couldn't be happier with the strip.
Such a different experience to be hitting from this vs my Amazon mat. You know it for sure when you hit it fat which is nice but not in a way where it hurts or anything. Definitely looking at getting the other hitting strips as well!
My left wrist has been super unpredictable for the past 2 years, I've got the bug and where I'm from we don't have many grass ranges so been practicing on mats and it's taken it's toll... Now that I got this Trueturf hitting strip and have been practicing my swing at home I honestly can say the wrist pain is gone. And I'm so glad because I thought it could've been chronic.
I’m not happy that the “grass” on your mat immediately leaves green residue on my club sole. This means I will go through it very quickly, at least as far as “real feel” contact goes.
I have hit off many different mats and this, by far, is the best one I’ve used. You can feel when you hit it fat but it doesn’t crank your wrist like a lot of them do. Doesn’t leave a bunch of residue on my clubs either. Great product so far. I’ve had it about a week now and hit an average of 100 balls a day and so far it looks just as it did when I got it. Also, love the way it was packaged and shipped flat and not all rolled up so you have to let it rest and become flat again.
I like the smaller size mat. It is easy to manage and carry so that I can immediately lay it on my driveway and begin chipping or pitching. It is very thick and absorbing and doesn’t leave marks on the bottom of my golf clubs like other mats I have purchased . I also use it with my net. The only downside is that I can’t put a tee in mat. I got it a few weeks ago and I am enjoying it.
This is the framework. I recently recovered from a hairline wrist fracture. Also, I am currently on staff with TaylorMade and Adidas.
I ordered the TrueTurf 3D to practice in my own sim. From the very first swing to the last my wrist did not feel any jarring pain or soreness. This product is truly amazing.
Keep up the great work!!!!
Definitely notice a difference from my old mat. Hopefully with this I won't get trigger fingers and inflame my arthritis from hitting balls off the mat.
I cut out a section of my existing mat and placed this piece inside the cutout. It is just a hair thicker but works well. Can definitely tell the difference between the two surfaces.
I have a TM simulator in my garage and had issues with arm/wrist pain over the winter, I find your mats have fixed this issue.
thanks for your invention!
Most of my bad shots are fat wedges, so I bought this mainly for that. After a few weeks of short sessions, I’m hitting them much cleaner on the course.
Simple product but very well thought out. I like that you don’t need to buy an entire expensive mat just to get a good hitting surface. Dropped it into my setup and it works exactly like advertised.
I bought this mainly because my mat was hiding fat shots. I’d hit balls in the garage and feel like my swing was great, then go play and chunk everything. This strip gives much more honest feedback. If you hit behind the ball you know it immediately. Exactly what I wanted for practice.
I’ve been practicing in my garage for a couple years and my old mat was absolutely brutal on the wrists. After a few buckets my elbows would start complaining. This strip is noticeably softer at impact and you can actually feel it compress when you hit down on the ball. It’s not some magic training aid, but it definitely makes practice more comfortable and the feedback feels closer to real turf.
Superb feel, absolutely zero pain even after a long sesh. The sound differene alone to my old amazon mat is huge... Aamzon mat sounds like hitting a table, this one quiet and has bass to it
